About Us
ECOWEEK ITB is an event that emphasizes on sustainability and environmental issues. The fashion and textile industry is known to be a large source of water and air pollutants. However, there has been various efforts to provide more environmental-friendly alternatives to conventional processes and products. Because of this, the Craft Study Program at the Faculty of Arts and Design, Institut Teknologi Bandung, initiated ECOWEEK ITB. Previously, ECOWEEK ITB has been held as an offline event at our main campus. This year, ECOWEEK ITB 2021 organize something different due to the response the ‘New Normal’ in the mid of pandemic, it is the on-site exhibition with the adaptability to ‘New Normal’ concept. This event will be held in conjuction with virtual exhibition, all of the process from the preparation to the implementation shows us how human beings try to adapt to their situation and preserve their second nature
This time around, ECOWEEK is emphasizing on the changes that has happened recently in the creative industry due to the pandemic and how creative communities can thrive even through a worldwide crisis. This topic is considered relevant to UN’s SDGs and can provide a new outlook for both the creative industry and the students.
Future Influence
This is an annual event, and may highlight other industries as well in the future. Therefore, we would like to gather and invite experts from various backgrounds to collaborate on this project. We believe in a collective effort for the betterment of our environment and communities.

Puji syukur kita panjatkan kehadirat Allah SWT atas segala rahmat dan karunia-Nya, sehingga kegiatan ECOWEEK ke-2 dapat diselenggarakan dengan baik. Kegiatan ECOWEEK merupakan acara tahunan dengan tuan rumah Program Studi Kriya, Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain, Institut Teknologi Bandung dan Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi Kriya, TERIKAT ITB, yang menekankan pada keberlanjutan dan isu lingkungan. Kita ketahui bahwa industri tekstil dikenal sebagai salah satu sumber pencemar air dan udara. Sehingga perlu upaya untuk menyediakan alternatif yang lebih ramah lingkungan mulai dari proses hingga produk konvensional, untuk itu acara ECOWEEK diadakan. ECOWEEK terdiri dari dua rangkaian acara, yaitu pra-event berupa webinar pada tanggal 23 Oktober hingga 27 November 2020, dan main-event yang berupa rilis website yang berisi karya dan pameran pada tanggal 14-18 Desember 2020, yang menampilkan delapan mata kuliah. Semoga acara ini bermanfaat bagi kita semua, atas nama keluarga besar Program Studi Kriya, saya ucapkan terima kasih kepada panitia dan berbagai pihak atas terselenggaranya ECOWEEK.
