About Us

ECOWEEK ITB is an event that emphasizes sustainability and environmental issues. The fashion and textile industry are known to be a large source of water and air pollutants. However, there have been various efforts to provide more environmentally-friendly alternatives to conventional processes and products. Because of this, TERIKAT, the student body of the Undergraduate Program in Craft at the Faculty of Art and Design, Institut Teknologi Bandung would like to initiate the third-time event of ECOWEEK ITB. This yearly festival of events celebrates and promotes everything to do with sustainability, highlights sustainability issues within the craft community and the progress that has been made to tackle this issue.

Purposes

This is a yearly festival and will be the third time for the student body of the Undergraduate Program in Craft at the Faculty of Art and Design. We are hoping for this event to become annual and may highlight other industries as well in the future. Therefore, we would like to gather and invite experts from various background to collaborate on this project. This year, we will have speakers from Closed Loop for the webinar. We believe in a collective effort for the betterment of our environment and communities.

This event can enhance the product image of participating companies or institutions and will be attended by representatives from all higher education institutions in Bandung who have majored in art and design, and  will also be attended by parties, such as representatives of other study programs, fashion designers, material designers, who have an interest in and share environmental issues.. Promotional media that are displayed (ex: digital posters, social media advertising, etc.) have the opportunity to be seen by the followers of Terikat and BSO Cirebon Instagram accounts and other media partners. The event gives a positive impact in supporting and building awareness of the importance of sustainable design for environmental sustainability, both within the Institut Teknologi Bandung in particular and Indonesia in general.+
