Food and agricultural waste has been a growing concern over the past years as FAO reported 1.3 billion tonnes of it is being thrown away annually. Derived from the habit of wrapping local cuisine in banana leaves, this work explores the possibility of reusing banana wrappings for further purposes. Discarded banana wrappings were blended into pulp along with abaca fibre and turned into paper. The paper is then styled into a form of basketry, breathing a new life into the discarded leaves once again.
