Corn husk (Zea mays ssp. mays) fiber dyed with Fiddfe-leaf Fig (Ficus Lyrata)

Rolling and Wiring

A composition inspired by the checkered chess board, arranged in rolled sheets of naturally dyed corn husks. These rolled corn husks are naturally dyed with Ficus Lyrata also known as Fiddle-leaf Fig extract, which then are cooked in iron and vinegar to give its variations of colors. Put together with a wire arrangement on its ends creating a composition imitating a chess board.
