Coconut fiber (cocos nucifera) and Tingi (Ceriops candolleana)

Felting

The name Dawam is taken from Arabic which means persistence, continuity, and repetition. Even in difficult circumstances, as long as something is done repeatedly and persistently, we can achieve it, and that is dawam.

The hexagon modular shape is inspired by arabesque motifs which are also of Arabic origin. Arabesque symbolizes the unity of belief and perception. The modular hexagon shape made of coconut fiber and natural dye, Tingi, is repeated until it reaches a harmonious whole.
