coconut fiber, mango leaves.
Felting techinique on coconut fiber, dyed with mango leaves.
This work is inspired by the representation of moss as a plant that is usually underestimated by humans, but behind it all moss is rich in benefits for humans themselves. The irregular shape of the work is reflected in the form of moss that often appears in damp places. Small circle accents scattered in several places show moss which is only considered as a parasite in damp places even in living things that exist in this world. The material used is abaca fiber that has gone through scouring and bleaching treatment. Then, the fiber got dyed using mango leaves 'arum sweet' substance extraction. This piece of textile could be used as lamp cover, wall decoration, or fashion products.
